We had a view of the sea and countryside from our hotel room. The room was clean and the shuttle that ran from the hotel to the center of Sorrento had several time options and was included in the price. Overall, a great hotel.
room size(superior room), view, quiet air conditioning, bus service, public areas, good parking, quiet ambience
unheated swimming pool, no information at all e.g. menu and cost/local bus service,no overhang to balcony from room above, reliance on bus due to location, some areas neglected e.g. garden seats all inclusive features makes it feel like a 3 star
the view of the bay of Naples from our room balcony and dining room was superb
lack of general information about the area and a menu with prices if you wanted to eat there.Parking was our main reason for choosing the hotel. If
Close proximity to centre of sorrento with free shuttle bus running to and from sorrento at fairly regular times. Room we occupied was huge with terrace and views across bay of Naples and Vesuvius. Another plus was underground car parking for free.
The Hotel had a restaurant which catered for huge tour groups which was fine but the restaurant food was very very basic and felt we were at a dinner dance not a restaurant. Not very cheap either to eat. Suggest you take shuttle and go into sorrento for dinner instead - better food and wine for about same price. The hair dryer was attached to the wall and was like a long tube which my wife found very inefficient.
It was very clean room, lovely pool area with stunning views. Shuttle bus was very handy for getting to Sorrento as it is a long way down otherwise!!
Not much selection at breakfast
Great view of Vesuvius from our balcony. Very nice room. Shuttle service to town was free and convenient. Also tours to Capri and Amalfi Coast were booked through hotel and were very good!
Beautiful, spacious room. Spotlessly clean. Loved the pool area with plenty of very nice chairs and restaurant available adjacent. Also absolutely loved the very large sitting room and hige porch area where guests can gather to share their day and enjoy the spectacular view. Also loved having the free shuttle to town and back several times a day.
Need to heat the pool, it was freezing. At the very least heat the jacuzzi.
Staff were extremely friendly and professional making you feel very welcome every day. Amazing views over Mt Vesuvius and The Bay of Naples. Good location just outside of Sorrento which is nice as quieter but has a very convenient shuttle bus throughout the day. Great pool too!
This is my second stay here. I like the hotel because it not only has a lovely pool, but also some nice gardens where you can go if you want a bit of quiet. They have plenty of sun loungers, around the pool and in the gardens. The hotel is about a 15-20 minute walk from the centre of Sorrento down hill and slightly longer return (uphill). I like this because I like walking and also it is not in a noisy location. The hotel however puts on a bus that runs regularly to and from the centre of town and is free of charge. I stayed bed and breakfast at the hotel which is good for me because I like to try different places to eat. Breakfast is cereals, yoghurt, scrambled eggs, ham, cheese, fruit, bread rolls, cakes and coissants, fruit juice, water, tea and coffee. It is buffet style so you can eat as much or little as you want. The hotel does do lunch and dinner too if you want. The views from the hotel are amazing.
The location was great, only a 30 minute walk from the centre of Sorento, and 5 minute drive. A bus was also provided free of charge and was a great service. The hotel was lovely, pool was amazing, plenty of sun loungers. View was out of this world.
I found the place is a family resort type hotel (all inclusive...etc) I believe I paid more than the other customers registered as "all inclusive"... Also, pool closes at 6pm : simply not acceptable.
The hotel offered a panorama from my balcony that was breathtaking. The stay at this hotel was everything I had dreamed about experiencing in a hotel stay and of course about Sorrento! Maria
It was a llittle out of the way but they did have a bus to carry visitors to the center of town.
We stayed in Hotel Vesuvio for 4 days during our holiday on the Amalfi coast. Primarily we chose this hotel because of its low price. This is because of the hotels location as it is outside the centre of Sorrento. However, the hotel offers an extremely efficient shuttle bus service to & from the centre of Sorrento. This service is free of charge and very reliable. The last bus back to the hotel is at 23:15. The pool area at the hotel is second to none-spotlessly clean and there were lots of sunbeds for the large amount of guests that the hotel accommodates. The breakfast was also very impressive....a large selection catering for all needs.
The Hotel has a shuttle bus that take you back and forth In to town. Vey nice driver. The balcony in the evenings is wonderful , to sit and have a drink with waiters available was very nice . A formal dining area for breakfast and a lot of variety and choices. Wonderful meal to start the day. The view is something to remember.
The walls are so thin we could hear someone being sick in the next room. The stuffed sitting chair in our room was stained on the seat, I would not use it. Pillows were very hard and flat. For the rate we paid, I expected a better bed. Staff were not very informative nor friendly.
Nice view of the Gulf of Napels.
Hotel is due a rennovation. Rooms and bathrooms are outdated (e.g. peeling paintwork). Breakfast is very basic (e.g. tinned fruit, instant coffee). Not what you would expect for a hotel of this price category.
